'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Todd: Blame me for Oldham defeat

Colin Todd admits he is to blame for Bradford City's worst defeat of the season.

The Bantams slumped to a 4-1 reverse against Oldham which puts them back in the relegation melting pot.

Todd held his hands up after trying to emulate the formation which had seen struggling Rotherham beat the Latics earlier in the week.

He told the Telegraph & Argus: 'I'll face the music and take full responsibility because I sent the side out there. I saw Rotherham play the same way 4-4-2 and obviously murder them but we couldn't handle their midfield.

'Give Oldham credit but we didn't give them a game at all, we didn't do ourselves justice. They caused us a lot of problems but we certainly didn't help ourselves.

Todd also criticised his players for a lack of work ethic and desire.

'The game of football isn't just about when you have the ball. There's the ugly side of having to work and if you are prepared to graft then you put a lot of onus on other people,' he said.

Who else is to blame.....the players. Who takes the credit for a win then if the Manager didn't blame himself for a loss. becomes confusing doesn't it.
