'If It's Football, It's Vital'

City Need A Sponsor!

After Bradford & Bingley pulled out of their deal at Christmas no one has stepped into the breach leaving the Bantams with a £60,000 shortfall in the budget for next season.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Arguus, David Baldwin, head of Operations, said 'we`ve got a high figure that`s a void in next year`s budget because a bank pulled out of the shirt deal.

The biggest restriction is the deadline we have been put under because of producing the shirt. It wouldn`t be a problem if we had three months to sort this out but we don`t.

They could pay it monthly or however. I`m sure we could sit down and sort something out.

The important thing is that we must act now or we can`t bring the income in. We`re just asking if there is a local business out there who wants to help the club.'

Clearly it's not the best time in the world to be looking for a sponsor as the world reels from one economic crisis to the next. According to the T&A long-term sponsor JCT 600 who were bumped off the shirt with the arrival of Bradford & Bingley are poised to step in with some kind of stop-gap offer should nobody else step forward.
