Jones facing a month out
Phil Parkinson, as he told the official website, fears that Ritchie Jones will be out for a month, at least.
The midfielder "fell awkwardly" in training ahead of the opening game of the season, having only just returned to training, and missed the Gillingham game and then Fleetwood in the game to follow.
An x-ray has been taken and once the swelling goes down another scan will be taken but Parkinson is fearing for the worst: 'We've had an x-ray done on Ritchie's ankle and we're now looking to have it scanned once the swelling has gone down.
'This should give us a better idea of exactly how long he will be sidelined for.
'We are pretty sure it will be a minimum of four weeks though.'
A setback for sure but these things happen, injuries are part and parcel of football and whoever continues to fill in for Jones will do a good job.
