'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Parky: I don't think we could have done much more

Bradford suffered their first defeat at Valley Parade when they lost 1-0 to Port Vale on Saturday afternoon.

Phil Parkinson didn't think that Bradford could have "done much more" though to have prevented this defeat: 'It's frustrating to lose, but I don't think we could have done much more. We started terrifically well and then conceded a bad goal, but that didn't really affect us. There were so many crosses into the box and so many opportunities but it didn't work for us in front of goal.

'I couldn't fault the lads. They played really well. Some of the football in the first half was exceptional. We looked a good side and our fitness levels were superb.

'We kept going and our numerous crosses and attempts on goal would have usually given us two or three goals, but Port Vale defended really well. We put them through it all over the pitch.'

Sometimes you just have "one of them days" and it seems Saturday was one of them for The Bantams.
