Bradford still on for Cup treble

Port Vale 0-2 Bradford
Johnstone's Paint Northern Q-F

Bradford remain on course for a Cup treble, even if that is of course unlikely! Victory at Port Vale on Tuesday night moved The Bantams into the area semi finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Chances were there for both sides in the opening 45-minutes but the deadlock couldn't be broken so the sides went in level.

Within seconds of the restart though Bradford were ahead when Ritchie Jones (46) fired the visitors ahead.

Soon after this opener Port Vale thought they had a penalty, however the referee thought otherwise and actually brandished a yellow card to Jennison Myrie-Williams, for what he thought was a dive.

That really did prove the turning point as within a couple of minutes Craig Forsyth (55) had doubled the Bradford lead and this secured the visitors a 2-0 win and moved them a step closer to Wembley on one Cup front!
