Parkinson Gets The Perfect Tie

Phil Parkinson is delighted to have landed the closest cup tie and has branded the tie as 'perfect`.

Villa are on a good run at the moment and unbeaten in 6, the last victory being a 3-1 win at Anfield.

Nevertheless Lambert is overjoyed that the fans don`t have to worry about a lengthy trip to the capital or south Wales. Vital Bradford expect a allocation of tickets around 6000.

Many fans are branding about on social media sites the 5-0 defeat of Villa in the Simod Cup. I can see us getting a draw up here and then as the remaining time in the tie ticks by, who know knows what we could end with!

Meanwhile Parkinson is aware that he has 5 league games and a promotion push to mastermind before the Semi Final begins…….

What would the fans like from the season?? Have your say in the poll!!

it is almost the perfect draw for you, I'm sure it would have preferred the home tie 2nd. But I see what you mean it is the closet tie to you and you will get a bigger allocation of tickets at Villa Park than at Swansea. But this the absolute perfect tie for Villa, you will have all the pressure on you to get a result in the 1st leg and hopefully Villa can come away with good victory to take pressure off at Villa Park. I'm not taking it for granted, Bradford have merited their place semi final just as we have and in cup games you have to be at your best to progress so I will take going through anyway it comes.

Some good points. I agree that it will be a task and its a shame it was no2 month ago when you were struggling! I disagree with the pressure being on us in he first leg, I would be happy with a draw, the longer the ties goes on yeh you will probably have beter fitness. But the expection on your players to go on and take te tie will increase.

No pressure on Bradford as far as I can see. It's a great achievement to get this far, they will just be loving the occasion. The pressure is always on the bigger team that's why so many slip up when sides like Bradford are so pumped up for the match.
