Parkinson - Sure Of New Deal

Gaffers contract is up in the summer.

I am sure you will all agree that since the 28th of August 2011, Parkinson with the backing of the board have brought the club so far.

Parkinson told Sky Sports News: "I'm out of contract in the summer but we are in the middle of talks about a new deal and it'll get done I'm sure.
"Blackpool are an excellent club, but I'm really enjoying it here, so are the staff, and hopefully we'll get our futures resolved sooner rather than later.
"You just have to go with your gut feeling. These chairmen have been good to me, and I feel at the moment a lot can be achieved at this club"

I feel that Phil is ready to commit to the club and with the backing which the board have shown him in this transfer window, the signs look good.

We are the biggest club in league 2 by some way. When we gain promotion we will be one of the biggest clubs in League one. I do feel that the big task is getting out of league 2. once that is achieved and Parky gets the funds then we could push again.

I would be confident that this squad could finish mid table in League One.
