Aldershot Match Report

Bradford hosted 19th in the league Aldershot town , 9 places separated the sides is was Bradfords just second game after the capital one cup final at wembley.

Bradford gave the shots an early scare as Nahki Wells chased a long ball just a few seconds in however Aaron Morris had it cleared for Aldershot. Peter Vincenti came close with a bullet header firing over Jon Mclaughlins goal. Zavon Hines got the better of Town full back Ben herd but his shot fizzed into the hands of Jamie Young. Craig Reid took his chances with a volley that fired wide past the Bradford goal. Bradford skipper delivered a wonderful free kick into the box which Rory McCardle got his head onto however couldn't find the back of the net. Nahki wells came close with a shot just outside the box but Terell Forbes cleared the Shots lines and knocked it out for a corner. GOAL!!! Kieron Cadogan curling free kick fooled the City players and Jon McLaughlin had no chance of saving it.

Half time - Bradford City 0 - 1 Aldershot town.

Peter Vincenti Nearly doubled the shots lead early into the second half but couldn't finish. Gary jones whipped in a terrific corner which James Hanson got his head onto but Jamie Young parried it out for another corner. A goal scramble in the Aldershot box erupted however Bradford just couldn't put it in the net. Jamie young then took his chances by running out of his goal and Zavon Hines took it round him and whipped a cross into the box but nobody was there to finish. Another Gary jones cross which cross that McCardle got his head onto and hit the post of Towns goal. Substitute Alan Connell came into action as his sliding effort on goal hit the side netting. Garry Thompson give it all he had in the 89th minute as his header whizzed past Jamie Youngs goal. GOAL!!! Alan Connell taps a cool finish into the bottom corner of Aldershots goal and leaves the players distraught.
