Showing The Bradford Ambition
Genuine interest has been shown in Nahki Wells, at least during the summer with Peterborough putting in an offer for the striker.
Bradford rejected that offer and it has reaped dividends for the club with his goals allowing the club to keep moving forward and the Bantams are carrying on in league one where they left off in league two last season, as is Wells himself!
The Bermudan striker has bagged nine goals this season so far, which makes him the top goalscorer in the country at the moment, incredibly Wells has netted 17 goals in his last 16 outings and has failed to score in just three of those games.
Former Bradford striker Dean Saunders, as he told the Telegraph & Argus, feels that the clubs decision to knock back interest and manage to keep Wells beyond the transfer window closing was a real show on intent and means is a sign that Bradford really do have ambition.
The likes of Wells will be key to the forward moving momentum.
However money talks so if QPR (who were reportedly showing an interest around the transfer deadline) do return with an improved offer in January it will be interesting to see what happens...
Saunders also revealed that had he still been in charge of Wolves he would have looked to have signed him no questions asked - fortunately he wasn't so he couldn't!
