Taylor Allowed To Move On

Does Matt Taylor have a future with Bradford?

Given the fact that he's been allowed to move on already could suggest that perhaps he doesn't but it's too soon to say one way or the other...

He joined us in the summer as a free agent when Charlton released him, but he's found it tough going to break into the first team.

With a defensive pairing like we have is it really any surprise?

At 32-years-old Taylor is very much at the stage where he needs to be playing first team football, as he's not been doing this at Valley Parade towards the tail end of last week he was allowed to move on and has joined Colchester on loan for an initial one-month spell.

You need players with the experience and quality that Taylor has within the squad, as it all helps, but if he enjoys his time at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, and features regularly (he made his debut against Crawley on Saturday) then you'd expect him to want to make the move a permanent one in January.

If this opportunity presents itself I'd not suspect that Phil Parkinson would stand in his way...
