'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Timely Boost

Bradford have been in need of a boost for a while, and Phil Parkinson believes that this has been received this month.

It's something he feels the Bantams have gained due to the players he's brought in this month during the transfer window, with them able to counteract the losses of Nahki Wells to Huddersfield and injury setbacks to Meredith and Reid.

Aaron McLean, Adam Reach, Kyle Bennett and Chris Atkinson have all arrived at Valley Parade in the past week or so with him of the opinion that their arrivals, and fresh faces, will offer a boost.

The boss told the official website: 'We felt a bit of a change in the squad was necessary and that bringing in a few new faces will give the place a bit of a lift.

'We are still looking for a left back to add to what we have now. We haven't been able to get one in as of yet for a number of reasons but we are still looking.

'Kyle is quick and has good experience of this division. Jordan came in at a time when we'd sold Nahki and we were struggling with numbers due to injuries.

'We needed an impact player off the bench. Jordan has been unlucky so far though because Reidy has come off injured in both his games meaning we've had to bring on a left winger instead.

'He is only a young player and we have to be careful what expectations we put on him. Kyle has a lot more experience with Doncaster and on loan at Crawley earlier this season.

'Chris comes in as a player with good energy to his game and someone who has played a lot of first-team football this year.'

Plenty to ponder there and a decent insight into each arrival given by Parkinson.
