'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Team News v Brentford

The Bradford team news is in for the next league one game this weekend; lets take a look at it.

Bradford head to Griffin Park to take on promotion chasing Brentford on Saturday afternoon, they do so looking to respond to defeat in a 'five goal thriller' last weekend.

Andrew Davies might have been forced off in that defeat to Stevenage Borough but his calf injury isn't expected to keep him out and he should be fit to take his place in defence.

A calf strain has been suffered by Carl McHugh this week but he too should be fit with Rory McArdle returning from international duty with Northern Ireland fine but Raffaele De Vita (hip) and Matt Taylor (foot) are out.

Steve Parkin knows that it will be another tough ask for the Bantams but the club are looking forward to this, and others that are coming.

Ahead of the game the Bradford assistant boss told BBC Radio Leeds: 'Brentford are a club that's been very progressive in the last couple of seasons, it's a test for us and one we're looking forward to.

'They move the ball very well, they have some very talented footballers. It's really important when you come up a division to test yourself against the top teams, and it's important we go down there and express ourselves.

'We're looking forward to the games coming thick and fast now, it's an opportunity to pick up points quickly.'
