Local Lad Danny Retires

Danny Cadamarteri's career is over after the former Bradford striker was forced to retire.

His two spells with his hometown club ended with him playing just three games shy of 100 appearances with him managing just nine goals though and his second spell ended controversially with him failing a drugs test.

Cadamarteri then served a six-month ban.

The 34-year-old hasn't played at all for Carlisle United, the club he was contract with this season, and following medical advise the former England U21 international striker, who shot to fame with Everton, has retired following knee problems.
