Focus On Tying Down Players

Phil Parkinson has some 'to do' items this summer, obviously among them is signing players but a priority ahead of even that is tying down the players out of contract that he wants to keep.

A chance of playing at league one level is something that the club allowed a good number to have having helped the Bantams get out of league two last season but a decision now needs to be made on who will be able to help take the club forward.

Quite a few players are out of contract so Parkinson plans to talk to them all and as much as 'freshening up' the squad is something he is keen to do a good point to leave the club in a 'strong position' squad wise with players tied down.

He told the official website: 'While we are looking to freshen up the squad (in the summer), it is important that we concentrate on our existing players first who are out of contract.

'We've had some players here who have worked really hard for us over the last couple of years, and my first priority is to sit down with the board, the players, and their agents to try and secure as many of them as we can to take us into the summer in a strong position.'

Which of the out of contract players to you think Bradford should look to keep, or will look to keep?

This site is looking for an editor (at least contributor), so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports them we would love to share it with the masses!
