Meredith Set To Move On?

That sky sports 'understanding' has it that James Meredith has turned down a new contract with Bradford and will seek pastures new this summer now.

Bradford had always been keen to extend the defenders stay at Valley Parade but he had also expressed a desire to step up a level in order to enhance his Australian credentials, however but for injury he most likely would have earned a call-up last season anyway!

It's claimed that 'a number of clubs in the second and third tiers are believed to be closely monitoring his situation' with him turning down a new contract in order to find 'a new challenge'.

26-year-old Meredith has, until now, played virtually all his career at non-league and lower league level but could be set to step-up to the championship with an exit more likely following the arrival of Alan Sheehan on Thursday?

Players come and go, if Meredith goes he'll be wished well but will also be warned that 'the grass isn't always greener' is it....
