Windass: I'm no cheat

Bradford City striker Dean Windass has denied Swansea's accusations that he conned the referee.

Visiting defender Kristian O'Leary was red-carded after tussling with the veteran forward at Valley Parade on Saturday

Windass told the Telegraph & Argus: 'We were tangled up on the floor and he just shoved his elbow into my eye. What am I expected to do? Swansea said I cheated but the linesman saw it, otherwise why would he have flagged? Their boy knew he'd done it because he walked away.

'To say that I cheated and dived is rubbish but they are obviously very disappointed. Their player has let the team down and it's cost them.

'It's like what happened at Cheltenham before. I don't ask people to be undisciplined but that's what he has done.'

Colin Todd added: 'Dean's not going to fall down if nothing has happened. He was definitely caught.

'It doesn't matter where the ball is, once there's been an incident like that then you've got to give a penalty.

'But I thought the ref wasn't going to give it and that would have been another mistake he made.

'All we ask for with officials is some consistency and a lot of his decisions weren't right.'
