Around the grounds with the exes - 11/09/17
Again, it's been a mixed kettle of fish for some ex Bantams this week throughout the leagues. Let's take a look at some of the winners and losers.
Zavon Hines opened the scoring as Maidstone won at home against Woking ending 3-1. Maidstone have climbed to 15th in the Conference, 4 points of the play off positions. This was Hines' first goal since Dagenham and Redbridge lost at home 1-2 against Plymouth back in Feb 2014.
Scott Brown would have been gutted as Peterhead conceded in the 90th minute at home to Montrose denying them 2 points and a place in the Scottish League 2 with Peterhead sitting in 4th place.
Simon Francis making only his 2nd appearance of 2017/18 for Bournemouth, this time coming on as half time struck away to Arsenal. The score already 2-0 for the worse, Arsenal managed to get a 3rd with a yellow as a reward half way through the 2nd half for Francis. The result means Bournemouth sit in 19th and 2nd bottom seeking their first points for the season in the Premiership.
James Meredith has experienced a sole win in 2017/18 and this past weekend didn't make things better. Millwall went a goal down early on after 10 minutes away to Wolves with Meredith subbed on 79 minutes. Millwall are just above the relegation zone in 19th.
Raffaele De Vita came on off the bench on 78 minutes for Livingston, within minutes Livingston made it 2-2 at home to Queen of the South, a mid table 6th place is their reward after 5 games in the Scottish Championship.
Brad Jones failed to keep a clean sheet, but not detracting from the result, Feyenoord won 2-4 away to Heracles in the Dutch Eredivisie. At this early stage Feyenoord find themselves 3 points clear at the top of the table.
Stephen Warnock had a torrid time as Burton got whooped away 5-0 at Leeds United. The former Bantam Loanee now finds his team in the relegation zone sitting in 22nd in the Championship with the worst goal difference of the division of -10.
Scott Loach grabbed his 2nd clean sheet of the season as Hartlepool won 1-0 at home to Dagenham and Redbridge, this has now lifted the Pools to 19th in the Conference.
Louis Moult has now scored 5 goals this season, the latest from the spot as Motherwell won 2-0 at home to Kilmarnock lifting the Scottish side to 5th in the Scottish Premier League. This is the 3rd consecutive game that Moult has ended up on the score sheet.
