McMahon In Team Of The Week (12/9/17)

McMahon In Team Of The Week (12/9/17)

Bradford City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Tony McMahon in the three one victory over Peterborough United at the weekend at London Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why McMahon was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Named Saturday`s EFL Star of the Day, McMahon was the architect of Peterborough United`s downfall, with Bradford producing a stunning first-half display to see off the previously unbeaten Posh. The full-back helped stem the attack of their opponents, but he was key at the other end, with his set-piece deliveries leading to the second and third goals of the 3-1 win.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to McMahon for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Sam Johnstone (Aston Villa), Daniel Jones (Notts County), Krystian Pearce (Mansfield Town), Tony McMahon (Bradford City), Sean McConville (Accrington Stanley), Bradley Johnson (Derby County), Kieran Lee (Sheffield Wednesday), Adama Traore (Middlesbrough), Pierre-Michel Lasogga (Leeds United), Chris Porter (Crewe Alexandra), Kieffer Moore (Rotherham United).

Manager - Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (Northampton Town).
