Changes For Fleetwood

Changes For Fleetwood

It's been a testing month for Bradford but Saturday's win over Northampton has set City up nicely for the visit of Fleetwood this evening.

Trips to Peterborough, Oxford and Northampton have formed part of the seven games to be played in September, which has proven successful so far as it's seen the club top the form table in League One and sit well placed.

Stuart McCall is aware how difficult things have been and, as a result of some, what he initially though were nothing more than bumps and bruises, setbacks changes will be made - they were planned anyway.

He told the Official Website: 'There is no doubt that it has been a tough month in terms of the travelling and the amount of games we've played. We took a few bumps and bruises on Saturday (vs Northampton). We were always looking to freshen things up on Tuesday, but we've got a few who are struggling a bit with injury.'

These problems collected from Saturday's win over the Cobblers aren't too bad but could be so no chances are being taken as muscle fatigue could become an issue if players are pushed.

McCall added: 'We initially thought after Saturday they weren't too bad but you have to be careful with muscles soreness and muscle tightness. They are nothing major but there will be changes come Tuesday. When you play at high intensity as we do, you have to be wary of muscle fatigue and the players' workloads.'

One that will miss out is Timothee Dieng, he's been sidelined since the end of August due to a calf injury. However, McCall went on to confirm that fitness coach Chris Short has given him good news so he should be back in training this week, full training on Thursday.

'As long as he doesn't have any negative reaction to his fitness work today and tomorrow (Tuesday), we may look to hopeful join him in with the rest of the group on Thursday. I watched him closely today. He worked really hard and looked to come through it well,' said McCall.
