Bradford Pair Rewarded
Matt Kilgallon and Nathaniel Knight-Percival have been rewarded for the form shown for Bradford so far this season with new deals.
One year extensions will take the defensive duo through until the summer of 2019.
Kilgallon, who has managed 13 appearances this season, which came after a disappointing debut campaign for City where injury limited his involvement, and Knight-Percival have formed the basis of a solid backline for the Bantams.
Playing in his favoured position, Kilgallon, 33, has proven himself to Stuart McCall, who has revealed overseas interest in the defender during the summer transfer window with loyalty shown to the veteran after he showed it to City.
McCall told the Official Website: 'Prior to the closure of the summer transfer window, there was actually some interest in Killa (Matthew Kilgallon) from a team abroad. It would have been a big offer for him in terms of finances but Matt wanted to stay. The way he has been playing this season and the loyalty he has shown to the club, Matt deserves this new contract. Playing in his preferred position of centre back after a spell at left back last season, Matt has shown everyone what he is all about with a number of consistent performances.'
He also praised the 'good influence in the dressing room' he has been along with Knight-Percival.
Knight-Percival, 30, arrived from Shrewsbury in 2016 and has made over 50 appearances for the club so far getting back to his best form, in various roles, overcoming a difficult patch last season.
The boss added: 'Apart from a small period last season when he had a little dip, as most player will do during a campaign, Nat has been excellent since he's arrived at the club. He has shown his adaptability to play on the right-hand side of defence despite being left-footed, and he has been defensively sound again in the early stages of this season. He is a great professional and very committed to the club.'
