'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bradford v Gillingham weatherwatch

The Bantam' trip to Gillingham could be in jeopardy because of snow in Kent.

The Priestfield pitch was under two inches of snow on Thursday.

Sub-zero temperatures on Thursday night mean there's a 50/50 chance the fixture will be called off.

A Gillingham spokesman told Bradford City's official website: 'There's been a lot of snow in the past 12 hours, although it's stopped now, and we've got to see what happens from here on in.

'But the forecast is to go as low as minus three which could cause a problem with the ground freezing over.

'It will be down to the referee to make the decision but at the moment we think it's probably 50-50. But we're at the mercy of Mother Nature for the next day or so.'

Colin Todd's squad will travel south on Friday anyway for an overnight stay before the match in the hope that the weather eases.

There's a patch of the ground in front of the stand to your right which is the problem. It gets no sunlight and if it gets frozen, the game is normally off. 2in of snow last night has not helped.
