Bradford City vs. Oxford United

Valley Parade

Back To League Business

Following the 3-1 Capital One Cup Victory, the Bantams return to league action welcoming Oxford United to Valley Parade.

Vital Quotes:

Bantam Bondy
'Parky, this is home.... You love us we love you. Blackpool is cold and windy'
'Nahki, continue your development with the mighty Bantams!'

Bradford City Team News:

Andy Gray comes into the Bantams squad after joining from Leeds United. I personally feel that Gray will start on the bench. What do the Vital followers think? Kyel Reid could also push for a place in the starting 11, as his recovery continues. Though I do feel it will be the same team that did us so proud on Tuesday evening.

Player to watch: Gary Jones

I feel that Gary Jones will control the game in the middle of the park and he will create and join in going forward ensuring we get the goals required.

Oxford United Team News:

Oxford will be without James Constable for the trip to Yorkshire. United are hoping that Peter Levin will recover from a sore knee, they see Levin as a important member of their midfield. Also pushing for a start is former Leeds United defender Michael Duberry.

Player to watch: Tom Craddock

26 year old Craddock is having a good season in front of goal, it would be great to see City keep a clean sheet. If we are to do this then Craddock will require the attention of two of the goal scorers on Tuesday night.

Match Facts & Stats

City are just outside the play off places and 3 points behind Rotherham who occupy the final automatic promotion place.
Oxford still have play off aspirations and could move within 2 points of City with a Victory at Valley Parade.

Match Prediction:

I feel that we will get back on track against Oxford and I predict a 2-0 win with Hanson and Jones getting the goals.. Yes Hanson, I feel he will thrive on the competition from Gray!

Next Fixtures:

On Tuesday night its another cup tie for City, Football League Trophy trip to Gresty Road Crewe.
Oxford welcome Rotherham to the Kassam on Sat 19th
