Wembley Final At Stake

The Bantams travel to Villa Park on their most important night in many years.

Vital Quotes: Phil Parkinson

'They carry a real threat going forward but their weakness is defensively,' Parkinson told BBC Radio Leeds.
'It would be foolish for us to go there to defend for 90 minutes.

Aston Villa Team News:

Aston Villa forward Andreas Weimann is back after illness for Tuesday's Capital One Cup semi-final second leg.
Ron Vlaara returned for the Villians at the weekend in the 2-2 Draw with West Brom. I do fancy us to get a goal tonight though. Come on you bantams!
Defender Nathan Baker (hamstring) and midfielder Ashley Westwood (cup-tied) are out and Shay Given (hamstring) and Fabian Delph (ankle) will all have late fitness tests.

Player to watch: Charles N'Zogbia

The little midfielder will be buzzing about and looking for goals. Hopefully Gary Jones will let him have one early on!!

Bradford City Team News:

I feel that Parkinson will have a tough decision`s at the back, will he stick with the team which did so well in the 1st leg?
The options available to Parkinson are new boys Ryan Dickson and Michael Nelson. I feel that both will play as it is likely to have been a big part in the two joining the Parkinson revolution.

The other dilemma Parkinson faces is up top. Hard working James Hanson was injured for the last game and replaced by Andy Gray. I do feel we need the hold-up skills of Hanson at Villa Park. This will assist in stopping the ball coming straight back and be a release route.

Having watched Villa recently I feel that we need to keep a close eye on N`Zogbia. He often found space between the lines at Valley Parade, we can`t allow this tonight.

Player to watch: Rory McArdle

The big man will have to have a big night tonight. Concentration is a must and it is important we don`t concede early on.

Match Facts & Stats

The only previous League Cup meeting between these clubs at Villa Park ended 7-1 to the home side. Lets not even think about this one!
City have won nine consecutive penalty shootouts - an English record.
It could come down to the spot as I am very confident that we will score.

Match Prediction:

2-1 to villa.......... WEMBLEY Important we dont concede in first 10 minutes and grow into the game.

Cheers Villa lads, nice to see a team wish their opponents well in defeat, it's not something you see too much with football fans these days.

Congrats Bradford, you deserved it. Good luck at Wembley. Did a sky radio interview today, praised Bradford massively, whilst not praising my lot at all! Sad times for us, dreamland for you.
